In the initial special_characters update, most of the use cases were removed. Here they are, commit by commit, so they can be discussed individually. Left is current, right is the suggestion.
Screenshots are partially blurry from cropping and resizing, sorry about that.
1. UIActionFields gets rounded button borders, Map has the selection inverted
2. Command helps higlights the command abbreviation and spaces out the text a bit more
3. Add scrollbar to sample import view
4. Message box gets double border
5. Case changes from OFF to Off to match the rest of the UI
6. Playback characters >, - and _ are replaced with the special characters
7. Tempo has 2 superfluous spaces removed
